Tech Orchard is able to help make it easy turn your used iPhones or iPads into cash for your favorite charities.

Tech Orchard, LLC., is encouraging people to donate their used iPhones or iPads to the charity of their choice through Tech Orchard’s “Tis the Season To Give” program. For every iPhone and iPad donated to a charity at techorchard.com, the company will donate an additional 20% to the same charity.

“There’s a tremendous need among people this year because of the poor economy and lack of jobs,” said Tech Orchard CEO, Phil Poje. “Charities throughout our country continually help people in need and now Tech Orchard is able to help make it easy to support these wonderful organizations. We couldn’t be more excited about this unique way to give back this holiday season.”

New or used iPhones and iPads can be donated online at techorchard.com, with all the proceeds plus a 20% bonus from Tech Orchard going to the charity of the customer’s choice. Tech Orchard offers the ability to donate to the top 100 charities in the United States, a list of available charities to donate to can be found at techorchard.com/charities.

“A used iPhone 4 – 16GB in mint condition is currently worth $225, and with our Tech Orchard match, the gift to the charity is $270!” stated Poje. “Even an iPhone 3G in poor condition will send a charity $36.00. It’s an easy way to give back, especially if that old device has just been sitting in a drawer collecting dust.” Luke Askins, Business Development at Tech Orchard said: “There are literally millions of old iPhones sitting in the bottom of drawers that we’d like to see used to help others.”

Tech Orchard’s standard charitable program matches 10% for any iPhone or iPad donated to charity. The current 20% incentive runs from Thanksgiving through December 31, 2011.
