Smith Monitoring, Inc. recently announced the features of the Smart Thermostat, an integral component of their Smart Home system. The Smart Thermostat has been mindfully chosen as part of Smith’s initiative to provide affordable, efficient, and intelligent home automation services to the nation. The Smart Thermostat comes with all the features expected of a modern thermostat, like high sensitivity and 5-1-1 programming, along with some unexpected enhancements as well.

Everything in the Smart Thermostat has been optimized for a great user experience. The wireless technology means the panel itself can be placed and controlled from wherever the user wishes. The large, backlit LCD touchscreen gives users an easy way to view and control their HVAC settings from inside the home. The thermostat also has a Save Energy button that sets the system to allow a 4-degree greater variance in temperature, which saves money during weekdays or vacations. The 5-1-1 programming function allows users to set a separate schedule for weekdays, Saturday, and Sunday. There is also an in-depth program for temperature control throughout each day, allowing for up to 4 different time periods with separate temperature settings.

With its programmable schedules, LCD touchscreen, and dual-thermostat support, the Smart Thermostat has full functionality, while its wireless technology adds even more. The built-in Z-Wave technology enables the thermostat to wirelessly connect to the Smart Home’s central panel, empowering users so that they can control it from their smartphone or computer. From anywhere in the world, users can securely connect to their central Smart Home panel, gaining access to the Smart Thermostat and its customization options. When linked with the rest of the Smart Home system, users can control the temperature, manage profiles, and change the running temperature profile. The Smart Thermostat is currently available from Smith Monitoring, as an addition to the Smart Home package, for the latest in home security, home automation, and energy savings.

Smith Monitoring Inc. is headquartered in North Dallas and serves throughout Texas, Georgia, and California.
