I want small businesses to be ready for Startup America. I want them to know what they need to ask for and how to use it for maximum impact.
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 04, 2011
With government and corporations setting their sights and their money on small businesses and startups, now is the time for entrepreneurs to get ready for growth. The Startup America Initiative and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses are looking for a few good businesses to help.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners must be ready to show how they’ll use the boost to grow and create jobs. In a free webinar from Ventureneer, business leaders and entrepreneurs will learn how to make a plan that shows they’re ready, willing, and able.
“I want small businesses to be ready for Startup America. I want them to know what they need to ask for and how to use it for maximum impact,” said Geri Stengel, founder of Ventureneer.
Stengel will be teaching the free online course for entrepreneurs, Getting Ready to Grow, on Tuesday, May 17, 12n-1pm ET. She has also written a free, downloadable ebook, Getting Ready To Grow: The Tools You’ll Need, as a handy guide to the planning process.
While some consider a business plan a waste of time, Stengel is adamant that the process makes entrepreneurs aware of all the opportunities and challenges that might come up and gives them a very useful reality check. A business plan answers the questions:
- How much money will I need and when will I need it?
- When and what kind of staff will I need?
- What’s my edge over the competition?
- How can I leverage market trends?
Knowing the answers will help entrepreneurs and small business owners decide which Startup America programs they should apply to and how to show the sponsors that they’re ready to grow. Those who don’t intend to apply to Startup America will still get insights that will help them avoid problems and grab onto opportunities.
The online seminar will benefit small business owners and entrepreneurs. For more information or to register, visit Getting Ready to Grow.
