Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 17, 2011
Urban Design Group is proud to announce the addition of Jed Laver to the firm. Laver brings three years of national and international design experience to the team, as well as a portfolio of award-winning work for his design and 3D visualization skills.
Laver joins Urban Design Group as an Architectural Intern. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (professional degree) and a Master of Architecture (emphasis on Emerging Materials Technology) from the University of Arizona at Tucson, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
His experience includes institutional, residential and corporate developments. His specialization in 3D modeling and renderings for projects results in clear, highly graphic drawings that aid clients and staff throughout the design process, ensuring the client’s vision is reflected in the final project.
With a strong research background, Laver’s design work is focused on minimizing the impact of the thermal environment on structures. His approach to projects begins by looking at a building holistically to make certain it maximizes thermal, environmental and psychological comfort for building users.
“We continually look for young talent to enhance our team,” said Ron Armstrong, Managing Principal of Urban Design Group. “We were impressed not only with Jed’s portfolio and technical skills, but also his creativity in developing unique design solutions as evidenced through his thesis on an EcoCeramic building envelope and his design competition awards. As an international firm, we also felt his passion for traveling and experience in working abroad in Greece would complement our culture. We are pleased to welcome him to our team.”
