“MoneyIsland” Demonstration Stands Out Among Large Financial Technology Crowd

BancVue, the leading provider of innovative products, dynamic marketing, and data-driven consulting solutions to nearly 1,300 community banks and credit unions around the country, today announced the firm was named a “Best of Show” winner at the FinovateSpring 2011 Conference.

BancVue was recognized for MoneyIsland™, a financial education experience designed to directly connect community financial institutions with local schools and families.

This year’s award is the third Finovate Best of Show for BancVue. The Texas-based firm was recognized at previous Conferences for its presentations of Kasasa® and CheckingFinder SM.

The 2011 Finovate conference, a two-day showcase of the best new innovations in financial technology, was held in San Francisco on May 10 and 11. Over 800 attendees witnessed demonstrations on state-of-the-art technologies from 64 presenting companies. Only seven presentations were chosen by the audience as Best of Show.

“MoneyIsland represents the essence of what we’re about at BancVue,” said Gabe Krajicek, Chief Executive Officer of BancVue. “Not only are we providing access to much-needed financial education for kids around the country, our partners are strengthening their community standing and engaging their account holders at the same time. We’re pleased that message came through so clearly at FinovateSpring.”

MoneyIsland, which meets Community Reinvestment Act requirements, empowers community banks and credit unions to address financial literacy in an online environment. By providing MoneyIsland to account holders, local schools, and non-profit organizations, participating financial institutions simultaneously drive business and make a positive community impact.

The MoneyIsland product, which launched March of this year, is only the latest in a series of game-changing innovations that BancVue has brought to market since its founding in 2004. With offerings like Kasasa®, a national brand of superior products, and INMO®, the highest funding online account opening system, BancVue has helped institutions around the country achieve controlled growth through new accounts, non-interest income, higher profitability, and increased retention.

Texas-based BancVue, already recognized this year by Fast Company as one of the 10 Most Innovative Companies In Finance, was just nominated by ACG Central Texas for its 2011 Outstanding Corporate Growth & Emerging Company Award. Mr. Krajicek, for his part, along with BancVue co-founder Don Shafer, the firm’s chairman, was named last week as one of the 14 finalists for the Ernst & Young Central Texas Entrepreneur of the Year. The nomination marks the third year in a row Mr. Krajicek has been so honored.

“In our arena, you can’t sit still and hope to survive,” says Mr. Krajicek. “The competition is fierce, and the battle will be won by the innovators. I like to think we have an edge on the crowd.”
