With one click, teachers can see the relationship between Common Core standards and their own textbooks, current state standards or district curriculum.

Originally developed as a filtered educational search engine, the Curriculum Matrix has evolved into a precise and powerful curriculum management tool, giving teachers the resources they need to transform curriculum. The Curriculum Matrix helps them reach the goal of differentiating instruction by providing targeted, aligned content for every student in the classroom.

To further support the transition to Common Core, teachers have access to an online Correlation Tool. They can submit district-created materials and supplemental resources to the EdGate team of subject matter experts, who have correlated thousands of textbooks, reference books, films and online resources to Common Core and state standards. Teachers can then share the correlated resources within their district or make them available to anyone online.

Teachers also have access to more than 200,000 of the best resources online, all aligned to grade-specific Common Core and state standards. Every bit of content in the Curriculum Matrix is ready to use with state standards, Common Core, currently adopted textbooks or any set of objectives used by a district.

"It is our goal to save teachers time and energy by giving them high quality, targeted content for all learners in their classroom," said Sandra Schugren, general manager for EdGate Correlation Services. "The Curriculum Matrix is the only online platform that provides what teachers, students and administrators need, all in one place."

The Curriculum Matrix saves teachers time by providing them with practical ways to work together online. Built-in planning templates let teachers drag and drop content to set up documents that are easily exported and emailed to others. It is the perfect tool to coordinate curriculum initiatives.

The core advantage of the Curriculum Matrix is an expanded ability to work with different types of content. Unlike simple search engines, the Curriculum Matrix provides access to a wider range of content, such as lesson plans, resources for intervention and supplemental resources for students.

The Curriculum Matrix has a new user interface that gives teachers more control over searches than any other tool on the market. In a couple of fast clicks, teachers can search for content, curricular concepts and targeted standards.

In addition to accessing open source resources, the Curriculum Matrix can also be used to search for content from publishers such as Learn 360, adding thousands more resources. Teachers can also search textbooks adopted by the district, right down to page level.
