NJ based Positive Impact has reached an agreement with The Morale Entertainment Foundation to join the production team for the Inaugural NCAA Carrier Classic Men's Basketball Event

New Jersey based Positive Impact, a sports and entertainment consulting group, has reached an agreement with The Morale Entertainment Foundation to join the production team for the Inaugural NCAA Carrier Classic Men's Basketball Event. The Carrier Classic is an NCAA Division One men's basketball game featuring a re-match of the 2009 NCAA Tournament Final between Michigan State University and the University of North Carolina. The game is scheduled to take place this Veterans Day, November 11th, 2011 (11.11.11) and will be played in front of 7,000 spectators onboard the USS Carl Vinson marking the first time a regular season NCAA game will be played on an active aircraft carrier.

The City of San Diego will be the site of the Carrier Classic and it will be broadcast nationally by ESPN from 4pm -7:30pm PST.

Positive Impact assisted with the television rights distribution agreement with ESPN and will handle partnership sales and fulfillment. Positive Impact will also provide the production team for the basketball-specific operations on the carrier.

"This is one of the most unique events we've had the privilege of working on, and we've worked on some extraordinary events. This has the challenges, the historical aspect and the relevance of doing something worthwhile by raising the spirits of our troops and garnering contributions to support important military-specific charities,” said Michael Rowe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Positive Impact.

"I've had the pleasure of working with Positive Impact for over twenty-five years now but the chance to collaborate on such a historic event is rewarding. Their experience in producing sports and entertainment events and securing partnerships is just what our Morale Team needs and we expect a long and rewarding relationship for many years to come, "commented Mike Whalen, Founder and Director of the Morale Entertainment Foundation.

Among the events taking place at the Carrier Classic are The World Coaches Clinic; the Carrier Classic Tip-off Dinner benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project, the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and the San Diego Air and Space Museum; a special celebrity halftime event and a post-game concert. Additional details are expected to be announced at a later date.
