Revolutionary Engineering (RE) announced that construction is underway for their new high-tech lab operations in Shanghai, China. The testing systems integrator and services provider, based in Livonia, Michigan, announced plans to expand their U.S. operations to China this past May. The decision was in response to the demand for high-tech testing services at the global level, specifically in Shanghai, China.
Phase I of the new facility will include two AC dynamometer test cells for driveline testing purposes, including axle, transmission and torque converter testing. The initial test cells will be designed for commercial and heavy duty component testing, but will be expanded later in 2012 to facilitate electric motor testing and light vehicle component testing. Additionally, the facility will also be equipped with two linear actuator stands and two rotary actuator test stands for hydraulic testing.
The company, which has experienced steady growth over the years, was recognized in 2007 by Inc. magazine as one of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the U.S. With the expansion of operations and the lab build in China, the company is strategically positioned for increased growth opportunities.
