The more customers who move to smartphones, the more valuable our wireless consultants become.

Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, recently announced the new location of the Plattsburgh store at 60 Smithfield Blvd.

“Smartphones have become a huge driver of growth in this industry,” said Luke Fletcher, regional director at Cellular Sales. “The more customers who move to smartphones, the more valuable our wireless consultants become.”

Cellular Sales was founded in Knoxville, Tenn. 19 years ago and has, for the past five years, been named by Inc. Magazine one of the nation’s fastest growing privately-owned retailers, operating more than 540 stores with nearly 4,000 employees. The company currently operates 30 retail locations in New York.

According to Nielsen reports, more than 46 percent of Americans own smartphones. As mobile devices become more complex, educating each individual about different devices and capabilities becomes more important. This is the reason Cellular Sales has dedicated itself to providing one-on-one service for customers, so they can receive that one-on-one education.

“With our growth and constant hiring, it is imperative that we find people with great character,” Fletcher said. “The top quality we look for when hiring is a servant’s heart because that is what connects them with our customers.”

The Plattsburgh mall store is currently hiring six new sales positions, which will be filled by local job seekers.
