Sellick Partnership hosted the Manchester Professionals' Cricket League (MPCL) End of Season Awards Dinner with celebrity guest and current England Cricket Coach, Graham Gooch.

Finance and legal recruitment specialists Sellick Partnership hosted the Manchester Professionals’ Cricket League (MPCL) End of Season Awards Dinner at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 18th October. Guests at the ceremony were entertained by current England cricket coach, Graham Gooch OBE, who shared his anecdotes from an exceptional sporting career. All proceeds from the evening and the MPCL are donated to local charity St Ann's Hospice and The Lord's Taverners, which over the last four years is totalling over £30,000.

Established by Jo Sellick, managing director of Sellick Partnership, the MPCL was initiated to provide a valuable platform for professionals across Manchester to network on an informal basis and promote the sport at a local level, as well as raise money for charity. The league has now grown to encompass 22 teams from across the city - all fighting to win the title. This year the Cup champions were MPCL first-timers Manchester Airport Group, and the winners of the accompanying Plate competition were accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward.

Jo Sellick comments, “Now we’re in our fourth year, it’s safe to say the MPCL has grown deep roots in Manchester’s business community – and what better way to celebrate this achievement than to have the honour of true cricket legend Graham Gooch speaking at our awards ceremony. A huge thanks to all of the organisations who took part and made this evening so memorable and for their contributions towards our two extremely worthy charities. Next year we’ll be celebrating five years of the MPCL and I’m keen for the league to keep growing bigger and better than ever.”
