The food- and wine-tasting event is sure to lure clients of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities to the outdoor extravaganza in Palm Beach Gardens.

Downtown at the Gardens' is the site of the Lexus Taste on Nov. 8.

Tickets to Taste at Downtown at the Gardens, sponsored by Lexus, cost $50 in advance and $75 at the door, and the proceeds go to Big Heart Brigade.

A flavorfully fun and festive evening is in store for guests who follow their noses to Palm Beach Gardens’ premier outdoor entertainment center, Downtown at the Gardens, between 5:30 and 9 p.m. Nov. 8.

Savory samples from some of the area’s best restaurants will be served hot out of the pot – or cold, in the case of dessert dynamo Sloan’s Ice Cream – to those who buy into the special event that will raise money for Big Heart Brigade. A long list of establishments will set up mini-kitchens in the large, tropical courtyard at Downtown at the Gardens, and diners can pair their fare with an even longer list of wines that will be poured.

The popular local establishment Bonefish Grill will serve its signature seafood. Bonefish Grill, in Oakbrook Square near Lost Tree Village in North Palm Beach, is known for its fresh fish from all over the world.

Another local favorite, Café Chardonnay, has branded itself for its French-inspired cuisine and its knock-out wine and champagne list. Café Chardonnay is in Gardens Square near BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens.

Other restaurants include Brio Tuscan Grille, The Melting Pot, Rooney’s All-In Sports Bar & Grille and the Abacoa neighborhood bar Rooney’s Public House.

The wine list will have connoisseurs waiting in line for sips from vineyards near and far. Rodney Strong Vineyards tops the list, as does Prestige Wines, Louis La Tour, and spirit makers Sobieski Vodka and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Tickets to Taste at Downtown at the Gardens, sponsored by Lexus, cost $50 in advance and $75 at the door, and the proceeds go to Big Heart Brigade. The mission of the Big Heart Brigade is to come to the rescue of the less-fortunate and is made up of firefighters, police officers and other civil servants who formed the organization 20 years ago. Every year, the 5,000-plus volunteers of Big Heart Brigade set up a kitchen of industrial proportions and prepare, cook, serve and deliver more than 100,000 Thanksgiving Day meals to the needy in Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.

While the holiday feast is Big Heart Brigade’s biggest event of the year, the nonprofit also sponsors a children’s toy drive prior to the Christmas season and provides humanitarian assistance in times of crisis.

Clients of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities who live near Downtown at the Gardens will be hard-pressed to miss the Lexus Taste and the chance to make a difference in the community.
