This supports one of our key commitments in assisting our customers in their ongoing efforts to offer the highest quality of care to patients

Medicalis, a provider of information-driven clinical, workflow and quality healthcare software, announced at the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) annual conference, being held November 25-29, 2012 in Chicago, it has signed an agreement with the National Decision Support Company (NDSC). Under the agreement, Medicalis Solutions customers will be able to access ACR Select, the digitally consumable version of American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria®, for imaging from their local workstations.

“Through our relationship with NDSC, we will be able to provide our customers with ready access to these important guidelines within the Medicalis CDS platform,” said Oran Muduroglu, president and CEO, Medicalis. "The Medicalis CDS platform allows our customers the ability to configure the delivery of clinical content across the enterprise and have access to analytics and reporting to manage the ongoing process of delivering content. This supports one of our key commitments in assisting our customers in their ongoing efforts to offer the highest quality of care to patients. We look forward to our relationship with this key contributor.”

ACR Select represents a “national standard” with imaging topics that have been developed by expert panels of physicians from different medical specialties under the guidance of the ACR. NDSC is the exclusive licensing agent of the ACR AC and provides technical delivery and support of the guidelines through the company’s ACR Select platform.

“ACR Select assists physicians and other providers in making the most appropriate imaging or treatment decision for a specific clinical condition,” said Michael Mardini, founder and CEO, NDCS. “It can be incorporated into computerized test ordering and a wide variety of electronic health systems to guide providers at the point-of-order. We are pleased to have Medicalis join us in such a critical endeavor.”
