Social platform partners with movement to create online community and influence participation in national day of giving

“We wanted to help provide a way for people to share their experiences and tell their own stories of giving, and Dynamic Signal has created something unique that helps us host these conversations and build a movement based on dialogue and innovation.”

Dynamic Signal, a leading provider of social CRM, content marketing and consumer engagement solutions, today announced its partnership with #GivingTuesday, a movement to celebrate giving and charitable activities, spearheaded by a group of founding partners including the United Nations Foundation (http://www.unfoundation.org), the 92nd Street Y (http://www.92y.org) and 45 others. The movement launches with #GivingTuesday, a national day of giving on Nov. 27, 2012, following other holiday staples like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday is utilizing the Dynamic Signal solution, including its software platform and team of social experts, to help engage holiday shoppers and community members to spread the word about the cause through the members’ social networks.

Individuals and partners alike are spreading the word through social networks and the newly launched community hub, which was custom built for the #GivingTuesday initiative on Dynamic Signal’s platform. This hub has made it easy for people to share content, ideas and best practices, all while connecting and engaging with other like-minded people to grow the message of giving. Dynamic Signal’s community platform will optimize #GivingTuesday’s message and campaign strategy, building a strong foundation for the future of the movement.

“#GivingTuesday is a movement that was built by the creativity of leaders and influencers who believe in the power of communities and how social media can help them flourish,” said Aaron Sherinian, vice president of communications and public relations for the United Nations Foundation. “We wanted to help provide a way for people to share their experiences and tell their own stories of giving, and Dynamic Signal has created something unique that helps us host these conversations and build a movement based on dialogue and innovation.”

The #GivingTuesday community platform has been a success to date. The community has seen rapid growth in membership with a high percentage of community engagement. More than 80 percent of the community has shared or commented on content, with 70 percent actively sharing across their social channels. Content sharing by members on their social networks is enabled by the Dynamic Signal platform and results in higher views, clicks and shares than officially distributed content.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with #GivingTuesday to help spread the important message of giving,” said Maurice Boissiere, vice president of advocacy for Dynamic Signal. “To assist in such a great cause is humbling, and by using the power of social and digital media to reach audiences around the world, our goal to make #GivingTuesday a nationally-recognized tradition can become a reality.”

About #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday (http://www.givingtuesday.org) is a movement to celebrate giving and encourage greater giving. It will begin with a national day of giving on November 27, 2012. This first-of-its-kind effort harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. #GivingTuesday is inspiring people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, to give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they celebrate and to help create a better world. #GivingTuesday is harnessing the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays that is dedicated to giving, similar to the way Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping.
