eScholar Partners With Its Customer Cumberland County Schools to Collect and Deliver Supplies to Affected New York and New Jersey Schools

Cumberland County Schools is pleased to partner with eScholar to support schools in New York and New Jersey who are struggling as a result of Hurricane Sandy

eScholar, a leader in the application of data to personalize education, announced that it will be partnering with Cumberland County Schools of North Carolina to lead a post-Hurricane Sandy donation drive. Goods collected through the drive will be donated to New York and New Jersey schools that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Cumberland County Schools will be orchestrating the drive among all schools in its district by mobilizing the Student Volunteer Program. eScholar will also be running an internal drive among its staff to collect goods. The drive will focus on collecting new school supplies and winter clothing for students. Once the supplies are collected, eScholar will help package the goods and manage the logistics of delivery to the recipient schools.
Highlights of the Pay it Forward Campaign:

  •     Designated NY and NJ Schools: PS 188K in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY and Beach Haven School in NJ
  •     Collection Dates: November 26th - December 17th
  •     Delivery Date: December 19th

Cumberland County understands first hand the devastating impact of Mother Nature and the relief that comes from the charity of others. After suffering damage due to tornados in 2011, Cumberland County received an outpouring of support and needed supplies from the education community.
