FlexiTube recreates the greatest comedy team of film and TV - Laurel & Hardy

Puppets belong on New York television, and FlexiTube is the show they belong on.

Craig Marin, co-founder of the Flexitoon Puppet Theatre, along with Olga Felgemacher and Jonathan Freeman, announced today that legendary children’s television icon Chuck McCann will provide the voices for the Laurel & Hardy puppets in a segment Mr McCann also penned.  “It is a great honor to have Chuck in this episode, as it was he who originally introduced Laurel & Hardy to millions of baby boomers and has been keeping their memory alive all these years.”  Chuck says “Puppets belong on New York television, and FlexiTube is the show they belong on.”

FlexiTube, an up-to-the-minute parody of the unlimited YouTube universe, is hosted by Henry and his pet dinosaur Hector – broadcasting from their do-it-yourself studio in Henry's bedroom. Their on-screen conversations are fast, funny and spoken in the language of now. The segment entitled “The Comedy Sweet” begins when Henry tells his pet dinosaur Hector that the internet is “like a time machine, because you can go back in time to discover all this funny stuff.” They then link to fully realized puppet recreations of these great comedy teams.

Craig said that “Chuck McCann (with the Paul Ashley puppets) was my idol and mentor growing up in NYC, and working with him on FlexiTube was a thrill that translates to the screen.” FlexiTube also features on a regular basis a “Cast With A Past” which includes guest appearances by iconic TV puppets including Geeba Geeba and Jingle Dingle (Sandy Becker) and Pookie & White Fang (Soupy Sales).
