Bringing motorhomes back from Italy in 2012 - stocking up at the supermarket
We love this journey. We have even developed our own favourite route taking in the very best sites and views on the way home, we do it so often!
Tarporley, Cheshire (PRWEB UK) 14 December 2012
A Cheshire firm is looking to put a team together this Easter for a caper in Italy involving some driving. This time around, there are no Mini Coopers. Instead, this adventure is on a much bigger scale – we are talking about the latest motorhomes.
Tarporley based Discover Motorhome Hire is offering the chance to pick up its newest motorhomes straight from the factory in Tuscany and to enjoy a highly discounted 10 day holiday driving them to its Cheshire headquarters.
Said Discover Motorhome Hire managing director Nick Edwards: "This is the perfect way to explore Italy and other countries on the journey back. Unlike with normal hire, you begin your holiday in the gorgeous Tuscan hills, with Sienna and Pisa nearby. You can spend 10 days touring Europe at your leisure, without having to turn back half way through. The possibilities include taking in Italy, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium."
Thanks to its hugely successful first season in 2012, Discover Motorhome Hire is expanding its fleet with more than 20 brand new state-of-the-art motorhomes from Italy. That presents a headache for the company as the new vehicles have to be delivered to Cheshire. Nick Edwards and his staff have made the trip many times themselves … "We love this journey. We have even developed our own favourite route taking in the very best sites and views on the way home, we do it so often!" But, the sheer number of new vehicles and the logistics involved have prompted the company to make this offer.
For £299 (less than £30 per day!) the deal includes:
- Transfers from Pisa Airport to the factory in Poggibonsi, Sienna (around 1hour 15 mins)
- Refreshments and full handover at factory
- 10 days’ motorhome hire
- Full European insurance and breakdown cover (includes insurance for one driver with a clean driving licence)
- 24hr emergency help number
- Eurotunnel crossing for return journey
The only other costs are:
- The flight to Pisa airport. Discover recommends a British Airways flight from Heathrow. Currently the flight is just £85 each, all in.
- Fuel and any tolls (Discover can suggest a great toll free route)
Nick Edwards advises people to act quickly as remaining places are limited. His one stipulation for participants in this Italian job is "Please do try not to blow the bloody doors off. Any doors blown off are to be strictly the responsibility of hirer".
