SmarTravel employees taking their time to volunteer

The holiday season is the best time to do the most good considering there are many in need or in a financial bind around this time. Our team is taking the initiative to work with the Salvation Army this month to help them with one of their most helpful programs, the Christmas City Toy Shop.
Five of our SmarTravel employees spent their morning helping setup the Christmas City Toy Shop at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on December 18th, 2012. “Knowing that we are helping children enjoy this Christmas by having something for them to open under the tree is very humbling.” Laura Mann said. The Christmas City Toy Shop program is for those that applied to use the program, eligible, and are invited by the Salvation Army to the toy shop to pick out new gifts for their child.
This will be the third event in 2012 that SmarTravel has worked with the Salvation Army of the Indiana Division. “We hope to continue working with the Salvation Army, they are all very pleasant to work with and very helpful.” Erica Anderson added.
