We were all very excited to be awarded the 2012 Communications award for outstanding website presented by IAFE, our website developer, Webgrain, has done an outstanding job.

Today, Webgrain Inc., a full service website development company based in Billings, Montana, announces recognition received for their design and development work. Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, home of the Last Chance Stampede and Fair, was awarded the first place Hall of Honor Communications Award for the newly developed website completed by the Webgrain team. Each year, the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) organizes contests and presents categorical awards to its fair members, which recognize and reward those fairs with outstanding advertising and publicity programs.

Launched in April of 2012, the new Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds’ website was redesigned by Webgrain from the ground up to help better engage the visitor, who can now easily navigate through upcoming entertainment, securely purchase tickets, and gather information to participate in events or rent space. The website showcases the excitement of the fairground’s events and entertainment and includes historical information and links to explore the Helena area.

They are a very professional organization and it’s a pleasure to work with them,” stated Keith Hatch, Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Manager.

Scoring for the Hall of Honor Communications Award’s website category was based on navigability of the website, overall appearance/impression, use of graphics, organization of information, adhering to a consistent theme, showing creativity and production excellence. IAFE contests are intended to be a learning experience, and winning entries, including Webgrain’s website design, were sent home on a flash drive with convention attendees so that they could share successful ideas with their board, staff, and volunteers.
