Sylvane, a trusted online supplier of high-quality air treatment products, is proud to announce the addition of the new Santa Fe Impact XT Dehumidifier to its product lineup. Manufactured by Therma-Stor, the Santa Fe Impact is praised as the most energy-efficient free-standing residential dehumidifier on the market.
Using an unprecedented 4.9 amps of energy (or 4.16 liters per kilowatt hour), the Santa Fe Impact exceeds Energy Star standards by fifty percent. The Impact covers spaces as large as 2,500 square feet, specifically targeting moisture problems in basements and crawl spaces. It also features MERV-11 air filtration for capturing particles as small as 1 micron in size.
“The Santa Fe Impact is specifically designed to dramatically impact the moisture levels in a crawl space or basement, the homeowner’s energy bills and the environment,” said Rebecca Lidstrom, product manager for Santa Fe. “It is the ideal freestanding dehumidifier for anyone looking to effectively and efficiently meet aggressive energy use targets.”
All dehumidifiers use a certain level of energy to remove moisture from the air. The energy efficiency of a dehumidifier is determined by its energy factor – the amount of moisture the unit removes (usually measured in liters) per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of energy consumed. Dehumidifiers that remove more moisture per kilowatt-hour are considered to be more energy efficient.
Established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1992, the Energy Star program helps consumers save money and protect the environment by identifying products that are energy efficient. In order to qualify for the Energy Star program, dehumidifiers must meet a minimum energy factor requirement. In order for large capacity dehumidifiers like the Santa Fe Impact to meet Energy Star standards, they must have an energy factor of at least 2.5 L/kWh. Boasting an impressive energy factor of 4.16 L/kWh, the Santa Fe Impact Dehumidifier dramatically exceeds Energy Star requirements and bears the title of the most energy efficient large-capacity residential dehumidifier on the market.
“Energy efficiency is one of the most important factors for customers choosing a dehumidifier, so we anticipate a lot of interest surrounding the Santa Fe Impact,” said Steven Hong, president of Sylvane.
In addition to its impeccable energy efficiency, the Santa Fe Impact is praised for its large capacity, low-temperature operation, superior air filtration, and extreme quiet operation. Optional ducting kits are also available for flexible installation in the most challenging applications.
Historically, Santa Fe dehumidifiers have been consistently ranked as some of the most energy-efficient residential units available. Each of their other popular dehumidifiers meets EPA standards for Energy Star qualification. With the new addition of the Santa Fe Impact, Therma-Stor continues to raise the bar for industry energy efficiency standards.
“The introduction of the Santa Fe Impact to our dehumidifier lineup is very exciting,” said Hong. “We are proud to be able to provide such a revolutionary product to our customers.”
Sylvane also carries a variety of other Energy Star-rated dehumidifiers, available for both residential and commercial applications.
