L2 Federal Resources to Host Webinar, "Understanding Transparency Requirements in Government Contracting"

Share Article

This webinar is intended for current and prospective federal supply, service, and construction contractors. It is geared towards compliance officers, contract administrators, and attorneys representing government contractors.

An expert speaking at an upcoming webinar hosted by L2 Federal Resources will provide a comprehensive, in-depth primer to the complex system of transparency requirements that government contractors must comply with.

Working with the federal government and complying with ever-changing and complex regulations and unprecedented transparency requirements is an ongoing challenge for federal government contractors. It’s not just the dollar amount of the contract that is being made public today, but much more. Subcontract awards and executive compensation data must be reported on the Internet, even for privately held companies. The Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS) is also now open to the public. This webinar focuses on the limits of the federal transparency requirements, especially what must be disclosed and what may be kept confidential and how to avoid the negative competitive impact of the new transparency rules.

The 90-minute webinar, entitled “Understanding Transparency Requirements in Government Contracting” is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, at 1:00 PM Eastern. To register, visit http://bit.ly/y22uHG.

Addressing webinar attendees will be Brian Waagner. Mr. Waagner is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Husch Blackwell LLP and the editor of Husch Blackwell’s Government Contracts Blog, The Contractors Perspective. Brian advises contractors and subcontractors on issues relating to their federal contracts, including contract award controversies, compliance issues and audits, requests for equitable adjustment and claims, and responding to allegations of false claims. Brian is formerly a shareholder in the Northern Virginia office of Wickwire Gavin, P.C.

Following his presentation, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing material covered in the webinar.

Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://bit.ly/y22uHG.
