M-Files satisfies our specific needs as a mining company. It allows us to manage multiple business processes.
Tampere, Finland (PRWEB UK) 28 March 2012
M-Files Corporation, the developer of M-Files flexible enterprise content management (ECM) software and the cloud-based service M-Files Cloud Vault, today announced that Banro Corporation (NYSE AMEX and TSX: BAA), a Canadian gold mining corporation, has deployed M-Files to manage documentation associated with its Twangiza gold mine in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Banro also utilizes M-Files to manage specific human resource and finance information and workflow processes with its subcontractors.
Banro produces a significant amount of documentation for its newly-producing Twangiza gold mine, such as project drawings, operations reports, standard operating procedures (SOP), and other information related to quality operations. At this stage of its development, Banro required a single consolidated repository for organizing mining documentation, as well as an effective system for coordinating with project subcontractors. Furthermore, Banro also needed an effective solution for managing specific HR activities inherent in working with a multi-national workforce.
Banro deployed M-Files to manage several unique aspects related to business operations, including the geographic distribution of its organization and the need to effectively manage multi-national subcontractors. "M-Files satisfies our specific needs as a mining company.” said Thorsten Neumann, group IT Manager at Banro Corporation. “It allows us to manage multiple business processes."
In addition to creating an M-Files document repository for its HR department, Banro also created an M-Files vault for its Finance department in order to manage invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
"M-Files' robust features enable Banro to effectively and efficiently manage mining documentation while also providing a flexible platform that can be extended to meet the needs of other departments and accommodate future growth," said Miika Mäkitalo, CEO of M-Files Corporation.
