Alonso Krangle LLP is currently offering free lawsuit evaluations to any family whose child sustained a serious injury in a fall from a Slalom Glider Slide
Melville, NY (PRWEB) April 09, 2012
Attorneys Andres Alonso and David Krangle, founding partners of Alonso Krangle LLP, a national law firm focused on fighting for the rights of people injured by defective products, are currently investigating personal injury product liability lawsuit claim on behalf of victims of the recalled Slalom Glider Slide. The Slalom Glider Slide, a playground side manufactured by Landscape Structures Inc., was recalled on February 16, 2012, after the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) received 16 reports of serious injuries that occurred to children under 8 who had fallen from the slide. The Slalom Glider lacks a transition platform on the top and sides of the chute. As a result, children can fall when moving from the ladder to the slide and when descending the chute, the CPSC said. Slalom Glider Slide Recall
According to the recall notice posted on the CPSC website, injuries known to have occurred in children who fell from the Slalom Glider Slide include 14 fractured arms and legs, one broken collar bone, one bruised spleen, and a bruised arm. Landscape Structures Inc. issued a Slalom Glider Slide recall on February 16, 2012, and no longer sells the slide.
The Slalom Glider is a distinctive 6-foot high playground slide that is curved in shape and made from molded plastic. It includes an arched, tubular steel access ladder. Unlike most slides, children are supposed to straddle the Slalom Glider as they slide down. Approximately 900 Slalom Glide playground slides were sold to schools and other facilities between January 2006 and December 2011, according to the CPSC.
The CPSC has warned consumers to immediately stop children from using the recalled Slalom Glider Slide. Owners of the slides will be contacted by Landscape Structures regarding removal instructions.
