Continuing its nearly 20-year partnership with the NCAA, Sport Court International will be providing its Response HG™ featuring Maple Select™ flooring for the 2012 NCAA Men’s Volleyball National Collegiate Championships.
Sport Court will install more than 7000 square feet of its industry leading portable flooring for this premiere event in men’s volleyball being held at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, Calif. Semifinal matches will be played Thursday, May 3 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. PT and the Championship match will be held Saturday, May 5 at 7 p.m. PT.
“The elite teams in men’s volleyball advance to these championships and ensuring their safety is our primary concern,” said David Clendenin, Assistant Director of NCAA Corporate Alliances. “Sport Court floors are backed by ongoing research and safety testing and the quality of product provided each year is unparalleled.”
Maple Select gives the look and feel of a maple sports surface, with lateral forgiveness to help reduce joint stress and fatigue. The proprietary SportGuard™ advanced surface technology also provides an incredibly durable and beautiful polyurethane finish.
“Since 1993, the NCAA has continued to trust Sport Court because of the unmatched safety and performance standards of our playing surfaces,” stated Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International. “We look forward to the NCAA Men’s Volleyball National Collegiate Championships being contested on Sport Court flooring for many years to come.”
Each year, the championship team receives a piece of the competition floor in commemoration of their victory, a tradition similar to the net-cutting ceremony at the end of the basketball championships. Connor Sport Court also provides 20 of its QuickLock™ portable wood courts for the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball championships.
