Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 29, 2012
CSG Government Solutions, a national leader in government program modernization, and CSG’s partner Foxhole Technology, today announced the successful completion of their project with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to upgrade the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) Framework. CSG provided project management and Medicaid program expertise in this major update of the three components of the framework – business, information, and technology. CMS recently published the new release, referred to as the MITA Framework 3.0.
The goal of MITA is to foster the integration and transformation of business processes and information technology in an effort to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Medicaid program. Version 3.0 reflects the availability of new technologies and incorporates recently enacted statutory requirements.
“Updating the MITA Framework is an important transformation that will affect every state’s Medicaid program,” says Andrea Danes, CSG’s Healthcare and Human Services Director. “CSG, as part of Team Foxhole, is pleased to have lent guidance and expertise to CMS for this project. Our involvement is further evidence of CSG’s leadership in healthcare and human services program modernization, and we look forward to assisting states as they begin the process of aligning with the updated framework.”
