Online kids channel Toon Goggles (http://www.toongoggles.com), the innovative free portal that provides several thousand parent-friendly cartoons and video games, has contracted with Calpacific Equity Group, LLC. (Calpacific) for an early round of funding. The announcement was made today by Daniel Baker, Senior Partner of Calpacific Equity, Group LLC.
The terms of the deal will provide Toon Goggles with the ability to expand its capabilities to support viewers on millions of devices.
“We view Toon Goggles as a strong contender in the children’s online market with enormous growth potential supported by current contracts with several multi-billion dollar corporations,” says Baker, “With current ongoing development for native applications for televisions, set top boxes, tablets, and mobile devices, the company is set to become a global brand.”
Toon Goggles recently announced a contract with social media site Everloop to add age appropriate programming for the Everloop members. The company has also partnered with Packet Video, a subsidiary of NTT Dokomo, to allow children to beam Toon Goggles content from their mobile devices to their televisions with the Twonky Beam Browser.
In March of 2012 Toon Goggles went mobile with their free iOS application. The Toon Goggles app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch is available for free download from the iTunes App Store at the link below:
