KUPD will pick up the donated water bottles from Mark Kia in July or August and take them to Phoenix Rescue Mission.
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) June 06, 2012
With the rising temperatures of the Arizona heat, more and more homeless people suffer from dehydration, heat stroke, and sometimes even death. That is why companies like 98KUPD, a rock radio station for the Phoenix area, is making sure that the less fortunate stay hydrated this summer with “Operation Hydration,” a community service promotion where the KUPD morning show provides water to the valley’s homeless. This promotion begins on May 28th and will run throughout the summer.
Mark Kia, a premier dealership in Scottsdale, will be one of the water drop off locations, as well as a couple other dealers from the Mark Auto Group. Throughout the summer, Eric from the morning show heads out every Thursday to various places around the valley and collects water from listeners. Further into the promotion, KUPD will pick up the donated water bottles from Mark Kia in July or August and take them to Phoenix Rescue Mission.
Phoenix residents can drop off their bottled water to the receptionist in the sales department in the Mark Kia dealership.
