The interactive event, entitled “Economics of Green,” is suited for a wide variety of professionals within the construction community, including public and private owners, developers, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and facility and property managers.

Next month, WPL Publishing will sponsor a webinar to help construction professionals understand the true costs and benefits associated with high-performance-building strategies.

Critical to the success of any green building project, in any phase, is having a clear understanding of the costs and benefits associated with specific high-performance-building strategies. Toward this end, the webinar will provide attendees a case-study-based overview of the economics of green building. To register for the 90-minute event, which will take place Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. (EDT), visit http://tinyurl.com/cx8r2ja.

Webinar attendees will learn about various green building strategies for their economic, environmental, and social impacts – otherwise known as the “Triple Bottom Line.” Drawing upon their knowledge of current market conditions, legislative pressures, and consumer demand, expert speakers will discuss a wide range of real-world green building economic issues.

Through the program, webinar attendees will be able to do the following:

  • Assess the costs and benefits of green building.
  • Understand return on investment.
  • Review payback figures of green building design, construction, and operation.

Addressing webinar attendees will be Kelly Gearhart, founder and principal with the international green building consulting firm Triple Green Building Group. Triple Green serves design, construction, and building-operations professionals, governments, corporate entities, and non-profit organizations seeking approaches to building and development through sustainable project planning and design, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design consulting and administration, education, and training.
Following Ms. Gearhart’s presentation, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing relevant topics.

Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/cx8r2ja.
