Eltima Software has announced the official release of USB Network Gate 5 (former USB to Ethernet Connector): http://www.eltima.com/products/usb-over-ethernet/. New version kept all functionalities of version 4.X and has multiple new features.
USB Network Gate allows you to work with remote USB devices from your local computer over Internet/LAN/WAN as if those devices were plugged in this machine directly. One can share a USB device with remote computers no matter how far they are and let people all over the world use this device as if it were physically present at their computers.
USB Network Gate 5 supports USB 3.0 devices, thus the wide range of devices compatible with USB Network Gate became even wider with this version.
Sharing of the devices over RDP was significantly improved - now not only can you connect to remote device over RDP, but also use this RDP channel to transfer data. Connection with remote device via RDP can be established automatically.
Once installed USB Network Gate is automatically added to Firewall exclusions list.
Sound streaming over Wi-Fi was greatly improved as well as the performance with iPhone, USB modems, webcams, USB to serial adapters, etc.
