Incorporating a real-time feed keeps us on the path of providing our members with the most dynamic and relevant handicapping data.

WinningPonies has released the first phase of its real-time feature this week, which integrates a real-time data feed from major racetracks in the United States and Canada. The timing could not be better, with the Triple Crown on the line this Saturday at Belmont Park.

“We prioritized the project to be done in time for the Belmont Stakes,” states James Messrie, President and co- founder of WinningPonies, Inc. “The fact that I’ll Have Another has a chance for the Triple Crown is just icing on the cake.”

The WinningPonies E-Z Win™ Form is an interactive handicapping product, which gives horseplayers from novice to expert the information and analytics they need to make informed wagering decisions.

One unique feature of the form is the ability to view projections for various track conditions and for both dirt and turf surfaces. In the past, it was up to the user to set the track conditions manually according to what the racetrack was reporting. This is no longer necessary.

The form now receives real-time updates from the track and will alert the user whenever track conditions change. Once the alert is received, the form automatically refreshes to display the updated selections.

In addition to track condition changes, the form also receives other real-time changes including scratches, jockey changes, equipment and medication changes, overweights, distance changes, and post times.

“Since inception, one of the goals of our product was to allow members to obtain tailored data based on actual conditions. For example, there is nothing more useless than trying to analyze a turf race that has moved to the dirt by using a system that assumes the race is still on the turf as originally planned,” claims Messrie.

“Incorporating a real-time feed keeps us on the path of providing our members with the most dynamic and relevant handicapping data. In this age of information, horseplayers are always looking for new technological features to give them the edge at the racetrack.”

WinningPonies has also redesigned their Toteboard feature, which displays the available tracks and their current status. It now displays real-time track conditions as well as post times.

The Toteboard now offers E-Z Win™ Forms three days in advance, which allows members more time to analyze the data. Previously, the forms were only available one day in advance. Furthermore, forms for completed tracks are now made available at no charge.

The next phase of the project will make race results available almost immediately at the conclusion of each race.

“Real-time results will be another unprecedented feature for a handicapping service. We are really excited about providing that feature to our members. That release is currently slated for July.”

WinningPonies.com is a handicapping services website owned by WinningPonies, Inc., a Nevada corporation. The website offers their E-Z Win™ Form, which projects the future performance of horses in a race by ranking and grouping them into color-coded performance tiers, based on proprietary analytics. The company also features a blog and weekly Internet radio show to offer further insight into the sport of horse racing.
