Harris Teeter announced a complete remodel of its Highland Centre location in March 2011, and the company’s construction team is busily working to complete the project by the end of June.
Harris Teeter’s shoppers patiently followed progress of the remodel since work began in October 2011. Outside, the store features an upgraded facade. Inside, Harris Teeter installed new refrigeration equipment, front end systems and cases and also updated the decor. The company also installed new fixtures, shelving and lighting as well as expanded its Fresh Foods Market to offer shoppers greater variety and selection. The remodeled Harris Teeter features a new a salad bar in addition to a new hot foods bar, olive bar, rotisserie warmer, La Brea kiosk and pizza bar. Customers will also enjoy expanded cases in the Fresh Foods Market allowing for a greater selection of prepared food items including sandwiches, sushi, fresh-made salads, and pre-sliced meats and cheeses. The newly remodeled store also boasts a walk-in beer cooler.
Harris Teeter has been in Fayetteville, N.C. for over four decades and opened its first Fayetteville, N.C. location on Raeford Road in December 1969, eventually moving to its current location in September 1995. The store is approximately 63,000 square feet, and it is open 24 hours.
To celebrate the completed project, Harris Teeter will host an in-store sampling event Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. to introduce shoppers to new Harris Teeter Brands products, now available in a majority of Harris Teeter locations.
Harris Teeter’s outstanding associates and loyal shoppers made all the difference for the company in Fayetteville, N.C. The remodel and plans for the company's second location in the city is in recognition of the loyalty of its customers and growth of the community. Harris Teeter anticipates its Hope Mills Road location in Fayetteville, N.C. to open September 2012.
