Jim Dinning, Randy Thompson & Michelle Sklar to be a part of an event like no other.

Calgary’s First Annual Startup Pitch Rodeo has selected a stellar lineup of judges. Included are Jim Dinning, renowned politician and businessman, and Randy Thompson, angel investor and venture capital advisor. The third judge’s identity remains under lock and key, and is promised to captivate all in attendance. Michelle Sklar, new-media maven, will be the Emcee for the evening.

“We are very fortunate to have Jim, Randy and Michelle taking the stage. They are major players in both the startup and investment communities, and will add so much insight and personality” says Brett Chell, Vice President of Sales for PODIUM Ventures.

The eight Calgary based startups will present an 80 second pitch in front of the esteemed panel of judges, investors and guests. The panel, along with the audience, will then be responsible for judging the pitches based on ideas, execution and entertainment value; with the top startup being revealed at the end of the evening. The winner will be awarded two tickets to Canada House at SXSW 2013.

Startups that are interested in roping their way to the top of the Pitch Rodeo stage, are asked to send a short summary of their deal, along with a YouTube link previewing their 80 second pitch to pitchrodeo(at)podiumventures(dot)com.
