The Marketing Eye is expanding with a US tie-up and a new client director

Uckfield-based, The Marketing Eye, is expanding – it has appointed a new client director and has also announced a tie-up with a firm in the US, which will benefit both UK clients who want to do business in the US and clients from across the pond that want to work in the UK.

Marie Kemshall is The Marketing Eye’s new Client Director and will have an important role in sourcing and maintaining client relationships for the company, expanding its footprint into the Thames Valley area.

Marie, a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), has a history in marketing and events spanning over 10 years, particularly in the security and retail markets. She has previously worked for real estate business, Grosvenor and, most recently, Norbain, one of Europe's most successful distributors of security equipment, managing marketing and events for high profile clients such as Samsung and Bosch.

“We are delighted that Marie has joined us at The Marketing Eye,” says managing director, Neil Edwards. “We have worked with her previously as a client and know exactly how she works. Her detailed approach and knowledge of her sectors is sure to be appreciated by our clients. The fact that Marie has previously worked ‘client side’ will also be a great benefit to our team.”

Marie is a car fanatic, with a keen interest in sports cars, having a dream of owning her own Aston Martin by the time she is 40. Marie is also the first, and only, female member of the Basingstoke Unicorn charity which organises charitable events for the local community. Marie is largely involved with its marketing, fundraising and PR, something which she thoroughly enjoys.

“As a previous client of The Marketing Eye I know this is the perfect choice for me,” says Marie. “It is exciting to move from in-house to an agency and means I can use my experience to help as many companies become as successful as possible using what The Marketing Eye has to offer.”

As part of its further expansion, The Marketing Eye has announced a formal tie up with Marketri, a US marketing agency based in Pennsylvania.

“By working with Marketri, we will be able to help UK-based businesses who want to do business in America and vice versa,” says Neil “We have already helped clients with trade events in the US and have projects planned involving direct marketing and PR.”

The relationship was established via Twitter.

“I spotted our agencies were very similar in terms of size, target market and outlook and made contact,” Neil explains. “Our relationship has gone from strength to strength. We share ideas and best practice, as well as support respective clients.”
