Scottish recruitment software company Firefish are celebrating success at the ScotlandIS Digital Technology Awards, where they were presented with the Best Newcomer award.

Firefish Software was named as Best Newcomer at this year’s Digital Technology Awards. The Glasgow-based software company received praise for its sustainable business model and huge potential for growth.

Firefish, who produce recruitment software for UK agencies, have seen great success during their first two years in business, including 100% yearly revenue growth and a steady client retention rate of 94%. Their win comes ahead of plans to accelerate growth and expansion aggressively in the near future.

With the majority of companies now recruiting primarily online, there has come significant demand for web integrated recruitment software. Firefish fills a niche in the market by providing a full online recruitment system encompassing website development, applicant tracking system, social recruiting features, and recruitment analytics as part of one complete package.

The awards ceremony was hosted by IT industry body ScotlandIS and held in Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel. It saw leading Scottish technology businesses recognised for innovation, clear objectives, and achievements across eight categories. Firefish was in good company with other winners including travel search giants Skyscanner, online publishers Brightsolid, and identity verification service miiCard.

Wendy McDougall, CEO, commented: “I’m delighted to see the team recognised for all the hard work over the last two years – and I’m really looking forward to accelerating the company over the coming years.”

About the company: Firefish produce online recruitment software for UK agencies. Firefish is designed to help companies attract and hire directly through their websites, with a fully web integrated recruitment system.
