Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 29, 2012
All Copy Products, the Rocky Mountain West’s premier source for business technology solutions, copiers, printers and supplies, is conducting a series of free workshops addressing printing workflow automation for print shop personnel and in-house printing operations managers July 17th through July 20th at its offices in three Colorado cities and one Arizona location.
Entitled “Increasing Productivity by Streamlining Your Workflows,” these seminars are designed for print production managers to maximize the utilization rate of printing equipment and personnel and to increase profitability through proven automation techniques. Each of the four 2-hour sessions will be led by renowned printing expert Howard “Howie” Fenton, a Senior Consultant with the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), a frequent speaker printing efficiencies, the author of two books on digital printing and variable-data printing, and a regular contributor to several printing industry publications.
Under the aegis of the All Copy Products Production Printing division, these seminars will address the critical aspects of printing operations for commercial print shop owners and supervisors, quick print operators, and managers running in-house or “in-plant” printing operations. These informative and bottom-line-focused presentations will show printing managers:
- How to measure and analyze the print production processes, including estimating, customer service and prepress.
- The most common issues in each area, such as bottlenecks and quality control issues.
- The four STEPs to all issues: Staff, Training, Equipment, and Procedures.
- How to incorporate web-to-print software to automate ordering systems, saving both time and costs on many jobs.
- How to automate the Hot Folder Strategy to cut down on prepress costs.
- How to employ such workflow automation products as PDF Workflow Software and Print MIS solutions, which aid in streamlining operations and generating job estimates, job tickets and invoices.
- How to add new products and digital services that will increase sales and profitability.
“Printing is a very competitive marketplace, and I created this seminar to help every printing operation to reduce manufacturing costs, reduce the number of ‘touches’ a print job requires, and to make it easier and more convenient for printers to work with their customers on every job,” says Fenton. “I consult quite often with individual clients in the printing business and I know first-hand how valuable this information can be for everyone in a printing operation, from the CEO to the plant manager, production manager and the production staff.
“If you are happy with your workflow this presentation can help you fine tune it,” Fenton adds. “If you’re unhappy, then this presentation may be the first step in transforming your workflow from a black hole where work goes in but never comes out to a workflow that creates a competitive advantage for your company.”
Each session will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the free workshops include lunch. They will be held at the All Copy Products offices on the dates listed at the following locations. Interested parties can call the local numbers listed here or call toll-free 800-332-2352 for registration at any location.
