Phoenix’s own Britany Simon is going mano-y-mano for the dream job of a lifetime – her own design show on Home & Garden Television. Simon is one of the two finalists competing in Season 7 of Design Star on the popular cable TV network, whose finale will air on Tuesday, July 24 at 9:00PM Eastern.

Britany Simon, described as a “resourceful girly-girl [who] is passionate about creating modern, glam spaces without spending a fortune,” is a graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and interior design. But it isn’t just her ASU loyalty and Arizona roots that have made her Phoenix’s favorite for winning the HGTV competition; it is her talent. Self-described as “eclectic and edgy, with touches of ‘glam-chic,’” Britany’s bold use of bright colors, graphic patterns and elegantly modern sensibility can be seen throughout the season’s episodes and her own design portfolio.

In fact, Simon’s work can be seen locally at two residential apartment communities in the Phoenix-metro area, each managed by ARC Southwest. A proud Phoenician, Simon was hand-selected to be the designer for the revitalization of City15, mid-Century modern apartments in central Phoenix, in the heart of the Camelback Corridor | Biltmore area at 15th Street and Highland. Likewise, as a former Sun Devil, Britany was a natural choice for designing the model spaces at College Town Tempe, a Tempe student apartment community located steps from ASU at 950 S. Terrace Road. Britany’s penchance for pairing black and white geometrics punched up by bright accents of blues, yellows, oranges and greens are on display throughout the properties. Britany’s designs for City15 and College Town Tempe’s model apartments and offices are prominent points of pride in her professional and HGTV Design Star websites’ portfolios.

Fans of Simon, City15 and College Town Tempe are encouraged to help Britany win the Design Star battle by voting online up to 9 times a day at Tune in Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00PM local Arizona time to watch Britany as she competes in one final challenge, designing and filming the pilot episode of what could become her very own show on the Home & Garden Television network.
