“I'm very happy and excited to partner with Jugnoo and The Remix Project on this program that helps people recognize the inner champion within themselves. No matter who you are or what you do, it's likely that a champion resides within." Lennox Lewis
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) July 31, 2012
Beginning today, a partnership between The Lennox Lewis Foundation, The Remix Project, and Jugnoo, seeks to answer the question “What does it mean to be a champion?” and shine the light on everyday heroes.
Being a champion isn’t necessarily about winning the game, the tournament, or a medal at the Olympics. There are everyday champions out there, all over the world, setting – and achieving – goals in their personal lives; being an active member of their community, helping others succeed, and/or overcoming adversity.
The Lennox Lewis Foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and their families; The Remix Project, an organization that assists disadvantaged young adults entering creative fields; and Jugnoo, a social CRM company, have formed a collaboration to help amplify the message they each want to share.
“I'm very happy and excited to partner with Jugnoo and The Remix Project on this program that helps people recognize the inner champion within themselves. No matter who you are or what you do, it's likely that a champion resides within. We want the kids to understand that whether it's doing well in school, helping your family or community out, or making it through some very difficult situation in life, these are all the qualities of a champion. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all of the submissions and what they come up with.” Lennox Lewis
The competition asks the question (to participants 14 years or older) “What does it mean to be a champion?”
Entrants will provide a personal response or interpretation in the form of a video, blog post, picture, or simply, a tweet. Eligible content must be submitted via twitter by tweeting with a link to the content and accompanied by the hashtag #WhyImAChamp.
The competition will be curated through the Lennox Lewis' Be A Champion Social Hub. Empowered with patent-pending digital content technology and accessed through the Jugnoo platform, Social Hub provides a contextually curated view of social web activities – including tweets, posts, blogs, articles, images and video. Jugnoo will be releasing more information about Social Hub soon.
Entries will be judged by Jugnoo and Lennox Lewis, and 3 champions will win a Lennox Lewis iPad with a personalized message from Lennox.
The competition opens on July 23rd and closes August 19th, 2012. Winners will be announced on August 21st.
