Employees at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin have been serving up great meals for the Ronald McDonald House of Durham for the past several years. This year has been no exception.

In the past, employees with the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin have helped make home-cooked meals for guests at the Ronald McDonald House, a home away from home for families with critically ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals. However, because the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House is undergoing renovations, on May 13, the firm partnered with local restaurant Alivia’s Bistro of Durham, North Carolina, who catered the entire meal.

Afterwards, volunteers helped with the clean-up process and shared in fellowship with the families.

“Seeing the smiling faces of children and seeing parents forget about all the problems for the moment made all of this worthwhile. This is the reason I do this; this is the reason we continue to volunteer and make a difference,” said Attorney Tara Williams, shareholder and head of the social services committee at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin.

Firm employees also donated kitchen utensils for the preparation of future meals, and Williams and several other employees joined in making a generous donation to the Ronald McDonald House foundation.
