Samuel Umesegha, MD, FCAP, MBA, senior practitioner with the SeniorCare Geriatrics Medical Center, has been appointed as Medical Director for Heritage Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation in King George, Virginia. Dr. Umesegha will oversee clinical care provided to nursing home residents and will coordinate care with other providers.
This partnership represents collaboration between two local resources with an extremely high level of dedication and skill.
Heritage Hall is a 130-bed skilled care facility, providing care for residents with a wide variety of needs, including skilled nursing care and acute, sub-acute and intermediate rehabilitation programs for orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurological patients.
“We are very pleased that Dr. Umesegha will be bringing his skills and knowledge to our family at Heritage Hall. We continually search for ways to improve our services for our residents and their families, and know they will benefit from his advanced training and experience in geriatrics,” said Ben Higgins, administrator for Heritage Hall.
Dr. Umesegha is board-certified in both geriatrics and internal medicine. He completed his Geriatric Fellowship at the New York Medical College in 2007, and has been a member of our region’s medical community since 2010. He sees patients at the Senior Care Geriatric Medical Center in Fredericksburg, providing services for cognitive skills and diagnostic testing, diagnosis and treatment of illness, management of chronic conditions, and comprehensive care for complex geriatric syndromes. In addition, Dr. Umesegha’s affiliation with Mary Washington Healthcare provides additional resources and support for residents of Heritage Hall.
