Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) August 08, 2012
Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., the premier source for secure, reliable, fast, one-way information sharing joined over 1100 Connecticut residents Saturday, July 28, on a charity bike ride to support cancer survivor programs throughout the state. Team Owl’s 15 members rode in 10-and-25 mile circuits through southwestern Connecticut. The CT Challenge mission is to empower cancer survivors to live longer, happier, and healthier lives by creating and funding programs, offering credible resources, and building a community of support.
The goal of the CT Challenge for 2012 is to raise $2,000,000. For its part, Owl management has pledged to match its employees’ fund raising efforts 2-for-1.
Speaking as Owl President and Challenge rider, Ron Mraz spoke of a common theme for the event. “The CT Challenge goal of supporting survivors in their new lives is something about which we at Owl feel strongly. We are happy to ride today, and happy to help the effort financially.”
Owl Team Captain John MacDougall agreed. “The CT Challenge is a great event and I am very proud of Team Owl’s participation. To be able to support cancer survivors through an event like this is truly rewarding. To see survivors on the ride alongside us was an inspiring experience.”
