GMO Internet Group Company, GMO Research together with subsidiary GMO Japan Market Intelligence (GMO Research/JMI) today announces the opening of its first operations center in India at the end of August, 2012.
The new India-based center will further strengthen operations and enable GMO Research/JMI to more effectively meet clients’ online study needs by offering full 24-hour operational support. In particular the move will allow GMO Research/JMI to provide better support to North American and European clients, by removing the constraints of cross-time zone communication.
To lead the efforts in India, GMO Research/JMI has appointed 10-year industry veteran Anupam Kaul, formerly the leading force in developing the India operations center of Global Market Insite, Inc. (GMI) and Greenfield Online Pvt. Ltd. (currently Toluna Group Ltd).
Anupam says, “I am very impressed with GMO Research/JMI and I look forward to working to with them to expand their presence outside of Japan, and become a global player in the industry.”
GMO Research/JMI CEO Shinichi Hosokawa stated, “We are extremely excited to start up our India operations center, and Anupam, with his rich experience, will make this a reality.”
Earlier this year GMO Research/JMI hired Jonathan Sheldrake in the U.K. and Sarah Jang in North America as part of the company’s global expansion plan.
