The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will use the survey results to improve the travel and alternate route information provided to the public. Working with researchers from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), WisDOT wants to know how Wisconsin drivers choose their routes when traveling, what types of situations typically cause them to take a detour or alternate route, and what types of information are most helpful when making such travel decisions.
Recognizing that different travelers have different needs, WisDOT is encouraging travelers in general, and commercial drivers in particular, to complete the brief online survey.

The study ends September 8, 2012.
