Independent Market Research Firm, Common Sense Advisory, Recognizes EQHO Communications as a Top Player in $33 Billion Dollar Industry

EQHO Communications announced today its official ranking as one of the Asia’s top 20 language services providers (LSPs) in the localization industry.

Released by independent market research group, Common Sense Advisory, the report titled “The Language Services Market: 2012,” ranked EQHO Communications as the 20th top-grossing language service provider among thousands of vendors around the Asia region. In the same report, EQHO Communications was also listed as the first ever Thailand based LSP to be ranked by Common Sense Advisory.

As part of the study, the Common Sense Advisory surveyed more than 1,000 language service providers to collect actual reported revenue for 2010, 2011, and expected revenue for 2012. The firm, which has published market size estimates and global rankings for the past seven years, found that the demand for language services continues, and is growing at an annual rate of 12.17%. According to the report, global trade, international business, and content growth are three critical drivers for the language services industry.

EQHO’s growth can be attributed to several key areas. These include the ever increasing demand for Southeast Asian language services, including Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay translation services, and in multilingual voiceover production and multimedia localization in Asian and European languages.

Last year EQHO translated over 24 million words in over 40 Asian and European languages, and produced over 23,000 minutes of Multilingual Voiceover in-house. With 78 in-house staff and an international network of more than 1,200 linguists having a broad range of technical, scientific, and marketing subject matter expertise, EQHO’s end-clients include the many of the world’s largest multinational corporations.
