hybris, the multi-channel commerce company ranked highest among independents by both principal analyst firms, today announced the appointment of Joseph Lee as the new vice president of sales, mid-market for North America. Lee joins hybris from Oracle and is responsible for overseeing hybris’ North American mid-size sales strategies.
A seasoned executive with more than 16 years of experience, Lee joins hybris following the announcement of the new hybris onmi-channel commerce solution for mid-size companies. The hybris offering addresses the need for mid-size companies to find a commerce solution that has the benefits and functionality of an enterprise-level solution at an affordable price point. Mid-size companies seek a commerce platform they can easily scale to as they grow into enterprise-level businesses.
“Joseph’s diverse experience working with mid-market companies in a variety of settings is a valuable asset to hybris,” said Steven Kramer, president of North America at hybris. “With the recent launch of the hybris mid-size commerce solution, Joseph’s sales leadership and expertise will enable us to deliver the functionality, scalability and flexible deployment options mid-size B2B and B2C companies have been waiting for in a commerce platform.”
Aside from Lee’s years of experience, he also grew up with familiarity to the mid-market, as his father owned a mid-size enterprise for more than 30 years. He was also an entrepreneur early on in his career, working with mostly mid-sized companies on eCommerce integration. Lee’s professional leadership roles include senior account executive at Oracle and executive vice president at D2C2 Taiwan Limited, a digital commerce company.
“hybris provides enterprise-class commerce capabilities for mid-market companies on a single, integrated technology stack, eliminating the need for companies to buy and then pay the high cost of integrating separate marketing, web content management, search, and self-service software,” said Lee. “Together with hybris’ belief in cultivating long-term relationships based on trust and accountability, hybris stands apart from other commerce platform providers that claim they can serve the needs of mid-size companies.”
Lee studied management and marketing from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at University of Iowa. He was also a multi-year President’s Club and Excellence Club winner at former employers ATG and Oracle, and had the highest sales revenue in North America for Oracle Commerce in 2011.
