Victoria’s journey began in the secluded mountains of Montana. She was born into a closed religious community where polygamy and abuse were openly practiced and expected. By the age of seventeen Victoria found the courage to leave her family and her religion behind and face the outside world she had been taught her entire life to fear. She went in search of happiness, knowing deep inside she could not find it in the life God had predestined for her. But it was not until she faced a mid-life crisis, and the threat of losing everything she had worked hard to attain, that she discovered how deeply entrenched her childhood religious beliefs still were. She discovered that those fear-based beliefs were a form of spiritual abuse and were preventing her from experiencing real happiness.
Join Victoria as she shares her journey out of fear and desperation and transforms her life into true freedom and pure bliss. In her book she shares the process she used as she searched for a way to remedy her life and find the joy that had eluded her. Victoria contends that joy is every person’s birthright and not something that has to be earned through penance to any religion. We cannot heal abuse within the same beliefs that propagate the abuse, although far too many of us try.
