"The dream of every aspiring classical musician is to study under a world-renowned master," says David Butler, CEO of ArtistWorks. "The ArtistWorks Classical Music Campus makes this dream a reality"
Napa, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2012
Starting today, music students from around the world are able to take classical music lessons one-on-one online with world-renowned artists at the first-ever online campus for classical music lessons. The ArtistWorks Classical Music Campus features online music schools in four core orchestral instruments that include flute, trumpet, clarinet, and French horn, with violin following later in the Fall. Also included in the Classical Campus are current ArtistWorks classical piano and classical guitar schools.
Instructors at the ArtistWorks Classical Campus include Jeffrey Khaner (Principal Flutist, Philadelphia Orchestra, Curtis Institute); David Bilger (Principal Trumpet, Philadelphia Orchestra, Curtis Institute, University of Georgia, Temple University); Ricardo Morales (Principal Clarinetist, Philadelphia Orchestra, Curtis Institute, Juilliard, Temple University); Bill Caballero (Principal French Horn, Pittsburgh Orchestra, Carnegie Mellon University School of Music); Nathan Cole (First Associate Concertmaster, Los Angeles Philharmonic); as well as guitarist Jason Vieaux (Curtis Institute, Cleveland Institute of Music) and pianist Christie Peery (Peabody Institute).
The Classical Music Campus teaching artists are all principal performers within their respective orchestras and in addition, most are music instructors at various ultra exclusive classical music schools including Juilliard, Curtis Institute and the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. Previously, direct access to these prestigious teaching artists was reserved for only the most elite students in the world.
Through ArtistWorks' patent-pending Video Exchange™ Accelerated Learning Platform, each master teaching artist is able to provide a seminal online curriculum in the form of streaming video lessons. Students can work through the music lessons and submit videos of their practice directly to the website. Their teaching artists can then provide video responses with expert advice, guidance and feedback on their technique. All online student-teacher interactions become visible to the entire membership, forming a virtual master class where each student can benefit from one-on-one teaching.
Designed for aspiring classical musicians, the ArtistWorks Classical Campus provides core curriculum in the form of video music lessons, covering the essential playing habits that build top-flight technique for all levels of classical players. Most importantly, the classical music lessons provide essential etudes, orchestral excerpts, and solo instrument pieces designed to give classical musicians a competitive edge for competitions and auditions.
"The dream of every aspiring classical musician is to study under a world-renowned master," says David Butler, CEO of ArtistWorks. "The ArtistWorks Classical Music Campus makes this dream a reality by offering serious music students an opportunity to get direct guidance and individualized instruction from some of the greatest classical musicians teaching and performing today."
Subscriptions to the ArtistWorks Classical Campus Orchestral schools are reasonably priced at $299 for 3 months, $499 for six months and $699 for 9 months. Subscriptions to the classical guitar and classical piano schools are priced at $90.00 for 3 months, $150.00 for 6 months and $240.00 for a 12-month subscription.
