Opens September 21 in celebration of International Peace Day 2012

Global Peace Film Festival (GPFF), from September 18-23, will exhibit Maria Snyder’s Peacearth™ Projects Mini Meditation Films to be introduced at the festival on September 21, 2012, also shown on GPFF’s first online film festival.

At 6:00pm on International Peace Day, Peacearth™ Projects Mini Meditation Films, created by Maria Snyder, will be introduced. The short film will introduce a series of 3 films, 3 minutes each, which engage the viewer through images, words and references of Peace. Peacearth™ focuses on art, messaging and communications of Peace. At an American Public Health Association’s conference, Maria Snyder's Art was described as “an emerging body of work that spans graphic, advertising, and fine arts in techniques and media, while illuminating the challenges of bringing images and ideas about Peace into the modern mainstream, after decades of marginalization”. GPFF introduces films from around the world and global discussions that highlight the power of film as it relates to new peace issues.
