Presentation to address all aspects of new court division

On October 11, 2012, Steptoe & Johnson PLLC will hold an in-depth presentation via webcast on “Navigating the Uncharted Waters of the New Business Court Division.” As of October 10, 2012, West Virginia’s circuit courts have a new Business Court Division to specifically handle disputes between businesses. The procedures for the Business Court Division are entirely new, so this program is essential for understanding this latest addition to the West Virginia court system.

Topics addressed during the webcast will include:

  • What the new Business Court Division is and is not
  • What types of cases are suited to resolution by the Division and the types of cases excluded
  • Why a business may want its case transferred to the Division
  • What’s involved in transferring a case

“The goal of this seminar is to give those doing business in West Virginia the insight they need about the new Business Court Division,” said Russell Jessee, leader the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. “We were involved with the development of the rules for the new Division and have the information that will be essential for all business owners to know.”

The webcast will be held October 11, 2012 from Noon until 1:00pm. For more information and to register for this informative presentation, go to
