The La Jolla Village Merchants Association partners with the Farmers Insurance Open to enhance the overall fan experience at the 2013 tournament with Haute La Jolla Nights, an event that features live music, world-class art, shopping and dining deals throughout La Jolla Village.

Live Music, Free Event, Haute La Jolla Nights, Neveready

“We are very excited to welcome the Farmers Insurance Open to La Jolla Village to experience our free nights of music, unique shopping, great dining and fun,” says Sheila Fortune, Director of La Jolla Village Merchants Association.

The La Jolla Village Merchants Association partnered with the Farmers Insurance Open to bring Haute La Jolla Nights to the Village of La Jolla during the PGA tournament. Haute La Jolla Nights will be held Thursday, January 24 through Saturday, January 26. Festivities will begin after golf play each day from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Haute La Jolla Nights features more than 20 live bands and solo artists that will play throughout La Jolla Village each night of the event series. In addition, restaurants and bars are offering dinner and drink specials. The many world-renowned art galleries are hosting public receptions with refreshments and opportunities to meet the artists. The La Jolla Village merchants are presenting discounts, deals, drawings and demonstrations available only during Haute La Jolla Nights. The event is FREE to the public.
The 2013 Farmers Insurance Open will take place January 21-27 at beautiful Torrey Pines Golf Course. Returning past champions include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and defending champion, Brandt Snedeker. “The Farmers Insurance Open is a world-class golf tournament at Torrey Pines, but it is important that our fans from both the San Diego area and from outside the area enjoy a full, rich, and well-rounded experience during their visit. The beauty and charm of La Jolla Village combined with live music, art gallery receptions, dining and unique shopping experiences will be a great way to top off an exciting day of golf. Our fans can enjoy all of the activities in the Village then drive home or to their accommodations after the traffic has thinned-out,” offered Peter Ripa, Executive Director Farmers Insurance Open.
In addition, on the weekend, all valet stands in the Village will be designated Public Valet Parking at the standard valet rates. All pay and display lots/garages will have signage indicating available tournament parking. Shuttles will be available at $5 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with pick up at the La Jolla Information Center.
On Saturday, January 26 the parking lot next the new La Jolla Information Center on Prospect will be transformed to a Wine and Beer Garden featuring live music. Patrons must be 21 and have a valid I.D. to enter.

The Farmers Insurance Open, San Diego’s prestigious annual PGA TOUR golf tournament, is played at Torrey Pines Golf Course, January 21-27, 2013.
