Comedian Rodney Carrington, one of the top ten grossing touring comedians in the U.S. as tracked by Pollstar, as well as a recording stalwart with sales of more than three million CDs, has been added to the season schedule at the Gallo Center for the Arts. His performance will be at 7 pm on Thursday, June 13.

Tickets for the event range in price from $25 to $65, and can be purchased online at, by phone at (209) 338-2100, or at the Gallo Center ticket office, 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. Organized groups of 15 or more people receive a 15% discount on their tickets. Group sales information is available by calling (209) 338-5062.

Carrington’s performances feature explicit content and are not recommended for children.

In addition to stand-up comedy, Carrington also is known for his often raunchy, comic country songs, as well as his work as an actor and writer. He starred in his own TV sitcom, “Rodney,” which ran for two seasons on ABC Television, and he co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film “Beer for My Horses.”

Carrington's comedy CD debut, released in 1998, was “Hangin' with Rodney.” It sold more than 450,000 copies, and continues to appear on the Soundscan comedy charts. He has since recorded six more top ten albums. His 2004 ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation, a double CD, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Boyett Petroleum is the Gallo Center’s 2012-2013 Premier Partner.
