File extension MAP, PHP, PRO, and RSS are associated with a variety of different file types one of which is a web file. Considering the fact that many web file types are viewable from the server side but the contents are never seen by the end user and instead are viewed using a web browser, Avanquest recently published the recommendations on the main types of software to open MAP, PHP, PRO, and RSS files.
File extension MAP is a web file type which contains text on the server side which provides links to other locations on the web. When the user clicks on a website image, the text on the server defines the location and the page where the user lands after clicking.
File extension PHP contains source code which helps to create interactive elements on a website such as online forms and access information which is stored in a database. The end user never sees the source code and instead sees the end result via a web browser.
File extension PRO is a web file type which is designed for use with mobile devices. PRO files are generated by Adobe Proto touch app which creates multiple page layouts and interactive elements which can be viewed using a variety of different web browsing applications.
File extension RSS works with online syndications which are used with an RSS feed. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a code and script file type that contains coding and scripts in XML (Extensible Markup Language) format. XML format is used to create feed readers for RSS news feeds on the web. RSS is a standard which is used for sharing news and other content on a website via a subscription process.
